Customers frequently ask "How do I put on a GemLace from ScarfLady?" or "Is there more than one way to wear a GemLace from ScarfLady?"
On this last day of Spring, I took some pictures showing three different ways to wear a Spring coloured GemLace. Here are the three pictures each with a number/name. Below the pictures, there is a description for each number/name explaining how the GemLace was put on.
1. French Knot 2. Double Loop 3. Triple Loop
There are several ways to put the GemLace on. The GemLace is made in a loop and can be referred to as a loop scarf or an infinity scarf. This format allows the GemLace to be worn different ways.
1. French Knot - Extend the GemLace in half lengthwise with a thumb in each end of the loop, place the GemLace behind your head and pull both loops forward in front of your body, make the lengths uneven and insert the long length through the loop of the short length. Finally, grab the two sides with your two hands and give it a shake.
2. Double Loop - Double the loop similar to an infinity scarf or long length of beads and place it over your head.
3. Triple Loop - Double the loop similar to an infinity scarf or long length of beads and place it over your head. Make one loop much longer than the other. Cross the long loop and place this third loop over your head. Adjust the GemLace so that the loops are approximately even in length.
Hope you find this little "How To" helpful :-). Your ScarfLady, Jan.
